Your data, held gently
Dream Lab is built to feel personal without collecting more than it needs. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how optional analytics and cookies work, which providers help us operate the service, and what choices you have.
Scope
This policy applies to Dream Lab websites, web and mobile apps, sign-in flows, customer support, billing surfaces, and any related content or services that link to it.
Some third-party services that power billing, authentication, app stores, or embedded content may apply their own privacy policies when you interact with them.
What we collect
Dream Lab may collect account details, personalization settings, generated session data, billing and subscription records, notification preferences, customer-support messages, and product analytics that help us keep the service healthy.
- Account identity and email
- Optional profile and personalization fields you choose to save
- Generated Drift Guide titles, scripts, audio artifacts, cover art, and saved library metadata
- Billing, subscription, and checkout status
- Notification tokens and preferences
- Support requests and messages you send us
- Usage, device, and product analytics
How we use it
We use account and session data to create and deliver Drift Guides, maintain your library, process billing, send helpful notifications when enabled, protect accounts, investigate misuse, and improve the reliability and usability of the service.
Depending on the context, we rely on the need to provide the service you requested, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Dream Lab, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where law requires it.
Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies
Dream Lab uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for core app functionality, account security, session continuity, preferences, and optional analytics.
Where law requires consent for non-essential analytics, we ask before enabling them. If you decline, the site should still work for core functionality, although we may learn less about how people use it.
- Strictly necessary technologies keep authentication, navigation, and security working
- Optional analytics help us measure visits, understand key flows, and improve the experience
- You can revisit your cookie preference from the website footer
Who helps us operate Dream Lab
We rely on service providers to run authentication, billing, analytics, storage, email, and rendering infrastructure. Those providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their role for Dream Lab.
- Clerk for authentication and account management
- Stripe, Apple, or Google for billing and subscription processing
- PostHog for optional product analytics
- Resend for transactional email
- Cloud storage and compute providers for generation, playback, and media delivery
Sharing, transfers, and disclosures
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. We may share information with service providers, affiliates involved in operating Dream Lab, or professional advisers as needed to run the service.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect rights and safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.
Some providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual or other appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Retention and deletion
We keep account data while your account is active and retain only what we need for billing, legal, security, or abuse-prevention purposes after deletion.
You can delete your account from inside the app or through the public deletion page linked below. Some records may remain in backups or financial systems for a limited period where law or operational integrity requires it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect Dream Lab data. No online service can promise absolute security, so you should also protect your password and devices.
Your choices and rights
You can update profile details, manage saved sessions, change personalization settings, revisit cookie preferences, unsubscribe from non-essential communications, or request deletion through the tools we provide.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your information. To exercise a privacy request, contact us using the email below.
Children
Dream Lab is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Dream Lab, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Dream Lab evolves, our providers change, or the law requires it. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice inside the app or on the website.
